The product works great! Both my girlfriend and I have had so much fun in the kitchen with the Cuisinart! Cleanup is a breeze as well.
Even better than the old model.

We had a classic Cuisinart for more than 20 years and loved it. When it finally gave up the ghost, I bought this model as a present for my husband. He prefers it to even his old beloved model. It's very powerful, very fast, and the bowl seems easier to clean. I hope it lasts as long....

This will devour anything you put in it. Works great and is easy to clean and set up. I would also recommend getting the storage accessory for the blades as they are extremely sharp.
Excellent quality

I bought this for my son, because he wants to learn to cook. I bought one of the first ones in production. It's been more years than I can remember- AND IT'S JUST AS GOOD AS WHEN IT WAS NEW. I still use it all the time. Need I say more?
Good buy

I did a lot of research on food processors before I bought this one. Cuisinart was recommended by Consumer Reports and Alton Brown. I was originally going to go with the 11 cup, but I was disappointed that they had changed to membrane switches. That was when I saw this model. It is nicely built, has 3 extra cups, and only cost about $10 more. The processor arrived in good time, nicely packaged. There were no broken parts. I've used it several times now, and it runs great (I've tried everything but the slicing blade so far). The max fill for liquids is only 3 cups, if you were wondering. Enjoy.
I've been using this Cuisinart for over 10 years

I decided to buy this model when my old 14-cup machine's bowl no longer could be clicked into place. The replacement part would have cost almost as much as a new machine, so I went for the new machine. I stuck with this design and size so that all my attachment blades would still fit. The new processor works perfectly, so I'm quite happy with it. But that's just what I expected after more than a decade of using a Cuisinart. I highly recommend getting at least a 14-cup bowl (do they make a larger one?) as it holds a lot more than the 12-cup version, making it easier to process large quantities of whatever you put in it.

We read some bad reviews about the Cuisinart Elite series concerning push buttons that wear through and the hard to clean bowl. This machine had nothing but high praise so that's what we purchased. The DFP-14 is everything we loved about our old DLC-7, but better because of more power. It even uses the same tools as our old machine which was a major plus to us since we had lots of accessories. We whole heartedly recommend this machine and believe it will last at least as long as our 25+ year old DLC-7.

This replaces a 30 year old Cuisinart that has started to show signs of age. The 14 cup size is ideal. It holds an enormous amount, that used to require to goes with our old 12 cup. The two paddle buttons inspire a lot more confidence than the electronic buttons on other models. The machine is beautifully designed, and fits under our (standard height) kitchen cabinets. So far, absolutely no complaints and lots of praise from my wife, who is the cook in the family, and knows her way around a kitchen and its equipment.

I received this as a Christmas present and I couldn't be more thrilled. I've always wanted one. I already have a food processor and it's adequate at best. My old processor is noisy and not nearly as powerful as the new Cuisinart.
I've read a lot of negative reviews regarding the safety features. My old processor has a very basic safety feature. The lid simply has to be locked on. The Cuisinart requires much more, and for that I'm actually glad. My children are old enough to be trusted with most kitchen appliances, but they're still young enough to be impulsive at times. Given the power and razor sharpness of the Cuisinart and its blades, I find the safety features comforting.
I love that it's quiet AND powerful. I can make quick work of prepping dinner while still having a conversation over the machine. The motor doesn't seem to be phased by anything.
I'm looking forward to using my processor quite a bit in the years to come. |
Great! This tool enables you to cook more professionally and faster

I am no Gordon Ramsey and I cannot dice and slice like a pro. I do enjoy cooking but my skills in the kitchen with regards to prep are less than stellar. Which is why I asked for this to be my big gift at the holidays. Sofar I have made several recipes in it including Borst, cole slaw and pizza dough. Each and every one has come out tasting fantastic and the texture of the food is beyond comparison.
The helpful DVD showed us how to do some of the recipes and to assemble it. I think the chef they used was trying to go too fast but thats just my opinion.
When producing large volume foods such as cole slaw and Borst, the tedium of all that chopping, plus the uneven product left my recipes feeling a bit -rustic-. With this processor the end product looks like I spent hours in the kitchen at a box shredder or mandoline.
Pros:
>> Huge capacity
>> Nearly silent operation ( this is amazingly quiet)
>> Super powerful motor that has yet to bog down
>> Many attachments included
Cons:
<< When shredding you can lose some of the vegetables at the top. It is far less than you would use doing the same by hand, but its worth mentioning.
Take your cooking to the next level with this fantastic processor.
Thank you for reading my review, happy cooking! |

We have used it for making hummus and shredding up cheeses and potatoes lately and it has handled all jobs beautifully. We are grateful to have it and would buy more anytime we need one. I would recommend it to anyone.
